RESTEZ CHEZ VOUS - STAY HOME

As we are all going to these weird times of staying home due to the COVID19 crisis I am trying to make a new series of photointerventions to point out the importance of staying inside in order to help this to pass the sooner we can and to protect all those who are in the frontlines protecting us!

Sending all my good energy to you all and hoping you all are ok.

    PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

    STAY HOME!

    "

    LOS CANTANTES"

The songs of these 4 “cantantes” (singers) have accompanied me for the last few years and through them I’ve learned French. I’ve understood much better the culture I live in, and they have opened a door to a special era full of poetry, romanticism and sensitivity that made me feel nostalgic of a time I wished I was part of.

LA CHANSON FRANÇAISE is poetic and honest, it talks about love, friendship, tenderness, sadness, happiness and rage. La chanson française it is irreverent and provocative! It tells stories of people who lived deeply and truly! It is passionate and humble... it is absolutely beautiful

    "Des Hommes et Fleurs"

Series of vintage photos of theater actresses and burlesque dancers from the 30's intervened with my illustrations.  These women were supposed to be the most liberated one at the time, still they had very little freedom and many were living horrible stories behind the stage.

As women we are used to keep silent and pretend to be happy. This series talks about those silences women have kept through history.  Still today women around the world keep quiet and I hope one day we all can shout together and be free!

    "Submersible"

Series of photo intervention as a collaboration with Montreal Band PRINCE MYCHKINE's 2nd album with the same name.  Each image illustrates each song of the album.

There is a story within this series, the story of someone who feels alone, he is looking for love in the wrong places as the story goes on. He makes mistakes and keeps on going, until one day he finds people who feel like him.  The tears become rain and we grow tall as an old tree when we go back home and realize happiness is always inside us.
